Objective

Designed a luminaire inspired by the global association of light with divinity, exploring how light can encourage ritual, storytelling, and community. Intended to center a recreational living space, the luminaire combines form, color, and scale to evoke a celestial presence—hanging high above like a being watching over.

 

Drawing inspiration from artistic and natural forms, the design process emphasized material exploration and iterative refinement over a 15 week period.

Weekly documentation was collected and presented through photographs, sketches, pinups, and sketch models, culminating in a final class presentation and salon display.
