Objective

This project reimagines the classic Corelle Country Cottage dinner set by integrating a compartment tray that serves as both a practical dining accessory and a personal cultural artifact.

 

The design reflects the dual heritage of immigrant families, inspired by the nostalgic significance of both the familiar dinnerware and the utilitarian styrofoam trays common in immigrant households. 

Originally conceptualized for families navigating the complexities of cultural adaptation, the design emphasizes the importance of togetherness—bringing loved ones around a table that embodies both memories of home and the promise of a shared future.
